TMI Tuesday no.3

Questions from 30th Jan 2018 on the TMI blog

TMI Tuesday RisquéViews Edition

This week’s TMI is my 3rd I think. Again I have rambled on a bit and shared Too Much Information, but I think that’s the point. Anyway it’s not where we’ve been that matters as much as where we’re going. I hope you are all having a great week. I will see you again soon,

Zara.

1. I will never again… promise to never do something, because chances are then I’ll be a real fuckhead and end up making a huge mistake by doing it. That not only feels terrible, it looks stupid and can hurt someone as well as breaking their trust. I’ve been there before.
I could say I’ll never end up where I once was but a few bad choices would land me there. I find it more helpful to focus more on what I do need or want to do, not on what I’m trying to avoid. If I put too much thought into what I don’t want to do I give that thing energy and put myself in the position where I’m more likely to do it. As backwards as that may sound to some.

I do things to actively prevent that but sometimes I struggle. If I found myself going down that path I would seek help, probably from a professional and I’d try to get it quickly before I went too far off the track. I have supports in place that help me to try not to repeat those mistakes and they try to help me while I mend the damage done when I was unwell. Last time it took years between relapses and I went downhill fast that’s possibly why I know I can’t say never again, because I’ve been there and it did happen again. All too quickly.

One thing I don’t think I would ever do again is accept violence in a relationship, if any of my relationships turn abusive I have to get out of there. Pronto.

2. I stash _sex toys_ in my closet. Lots of sex toys, vibrators are my favorite. Just before I started this blog I threw out a big bag of toys I wasn’t using. I regret that now. So many photo opportunities and possible reviews down the drain. I keep reminding myself it was a good thing, because most of them were made of crappy materials, some were looking ready to be thrown away so that was my tipping point that pushed me to do it. The guys at the tip would have had an interesting conversation after finding that bag. My collection is growing steadily once again, yay!

3. Are you embarrassed when strangers start talking about their sex life to you? Not really, it depends who they are and how deeply they go into it. If I’m in person I’m more awkward. On the internet or phone I’m fine. If the person was seeking advice I’d most likely give it to them even if I was embarrassed.

I’ve had a few good laughs with people I barely knew talking about sex and I know I’ve told people TMI about my own life, including about sex. So even if I was embarrassed I’d grin and bear it. If I couldn’t go on with the conversation I’d politely excuse myself.

4. Would you date someone who is celibate?

Yes, If I loved that person I would. Just like if my partner couldn’t have sex anymore I’d stay with him. Yet another great reason sex toys are great!

I’ve had similar type friendships where I was basically partners with someone except for the sex part. I’m cool with that. Sometimes they’re not that was where the problems came in if I can recall correctly.

5. What percentage does each of these activities–work, play, household, sex, rest/sleep have in your life? (Must equal 100%)
Work=29%
Play=13%
Sex=11%
Sleep or Rest=30%
Household 17%
That was harder than it seems and probably wrong. I might start mapping my days.

Bonus: How do you decompress at the end of each day? How would you like to decompress at the end of each day?

I used to enjoy reading or writing in my journal at the end of the day. Now I usually check my phone to see what’s happening on social media. If I’m not trying to write something I often don’t even post it so I’m wasting time. I’d much rather post what I write then go to bed for cuddles rather than staying up worrying about all the stuff I have to do.

In fact that should be a part of my new challenge I’m setting myself. To spend the evening completing a task, such as posting what I’ve written. Then, most importantly to make sure I go to bed with my boyfriend when I can. I accomplish next to nothing when it’s late anyway.

My first challenge was going to be related to improving my sex life so going to bed by a certain time with my significant other would be a perfect starting point. Not to mention when we do go to bed together I get to unwind in my favorite way and we get to do it together!

My Top 5 or so Favorite Sex Blogs of 2017

Top Bloggers of 2017

Apologies for bringing you my best of 2017 when we are already into 2018. I figured better late than never and what better time to start catching up on unfinished work than now?  I’m going to try and create a blogging schedule I can stick to this year and some of these superstar bloggers have got it down-pat, whatever their method is it’s working for them, their blogs are fantastic, informative and just really well done.

Hopefully you will check out a few from my list they are all brilliant in their own ways.

I would have made a list of 100 but I thought I better limit myself. So here’s to my midweek version of SoSS, my round-up of my fave sex blogs from 2017. I’m so glad I found each and every one of them.

  1. A great site which I really love is Candy Snatch Reviews by a Sex Positive writer who I find to be quite inspirational. Not only is she a fantastic writer she is beautiful, inside and out, smart and talented. She has a natural style which shines through on her site. I was recently convinced to buy some lingerie from Lovehoney because she looked so freaken hot in her review pics. With many accomplishments under her belt in the sex blogging and writing field including being part of the Pleasure Panel you can read her reviews, articles, erotica and more in her blog.
  2.  Dangerous Lilly’s  blog is informative and invaluable for anyone interested in sex toys particularly sex bloggers. I wish I had paid more attention to her when I first stumbled across her site. I’ve spent a lot of time recently over there looking at her articles on the ingredients found in our sex toys and lubes, there is some really well written and important info over there. She also has advice for new sex bloggers which I can’t get enough of at the moment, so she’s on my top 5 list right now.  I love her snarky attitude and that she has a tonne of knowledge tucked away on her site.
  3. Another blog I have revisited over and over again the last few weeks mainly for the Sex Blogger SEO articles, which are really fantastic. Ace in the hole is a great sex blogger all round, I can actually really relate to some of her writing about being an asexual sex blogger, I don’t identify as being asexual but sometimes feel like I could be close. Her honest and well written articles and reviews are great and I’m glad I found them in time to make it into my list!
  4. Isabelle Lauren has an awesome blog where she posts some great sex toy reviews and writes erotic fiction among other things. I really like her site and have gotten to know her a bit better over Twitter after winning a competition on her site.  I am looking forward to receiving my prize so I can write a review on it. If you want to check her out her twitter handle is @romanticIsa and her official site can be found at  Isabelle Lauren .
  5. (and 6) Cara Sutra and Joellen at The Redhead Bedhead are Sex Blogging superstars and I wanted to include them here for sharing such a wealth of information and  being entertaining and fantastic bloggers when they’re not sharing all their secrets to success. I am always in awe of the brilliance of some people out there when it comes to blogging. Are they just natural talents or did they too learn like I’m trying too?

My 1st ever Share our shit Saturday #SoSS

This week I am going to share with you some blogs that I’ve found to be useful as a newbie sex blogger. There’s some fantastic advice and resources out there for mainstream bloggers which can be just as useful but in the sex blogging community we have some amazing people who specnd a lot of time to make our blogging journeys a little bit easier and more fun.

Some of the bloggers I am going to share about today run weekly ‘memes,’ which usually come with a prompt for those who’d like to join in. I’m sharing those because I have just this week started to join in with some of the memes. I first saw these on Twitter and when I looked into it I came across an old post from a well known sex blogger Cara Sutra.

Sex blogging memes and resources for sex bloggers:

Cara Sutra

This link will take you to the introduction I had for sex blogging memes, while some of them no longer run as the post is quite old the information is still valuable and her site is amazing. Find out about sex blogging memes here and check out Cara Sutras site.

Click here to see Cara Sutras post on sex blogging memes

or here to see the main Cara Sutra site.

The Smutlancer

The next site I found had a library of information for new and old sex bloggers alike. I spent ages on The Smutlancer site this week after finding it in my search for information on these sex blogging memes. This site is an awesome resource for all niche sex bloggers, I highly reccomend you check it out.

Click here to see The Smutlancers post on sex blogging memes and building an audience.

And Click here for The Smutlancers homepage for a wealth of sex blogging information.

The Smutlancer site was created and is written by sex blogger and kink author Kayla Lords who not only has her own site but she also runs her own sex blogging meme challenge Masturbation Mondays. She must be a very busy woman indeed and she’s a fantastic writer. I look forward to reading more of jer work.

Mollys Daily Kiss

I couldn’t write about sex blogging memes without mentioning Mollys Daily Kiss, who runs several awesome sex blogging memes, including

Sinful Sunday

Kink of the Week (another one I joined in with this week. You can find my post here)

eLust

And more memes, there’s something for everyone over at Molly’s Daily Kiss.

Rebel Notes

Erotic author Rebel Notes runs another popular sex blogging meme

Wicked Wednesday where participants are given a theme to write about. I joined in this week and tried my hand at some erotic fiction and I look forward to being involved more in the future. You can read my first submission here

Rebel also runs:

The Menopause Diaries

The Oral Sex Project

And Sexy Searching

She also includes links to memes by others which I encourage you to check out if you’re interested in discovering more sex blogging meme fun.

That’s all from me this week

There is no doubt some I have missed here but this is the start of my journey and these are the blogs I discovered in the last few weeks. If you know of amy other sex blogging memes please contact me or comment below with a link to the site. Check out some of the links, there’s some great work by bloggers on all of them and some of them accept submissions by anyone, not just bloggers.

Each meme has it’s own rules which usually include linking back to the original meme post so that your readers can see other peoples work, that’s what it’s all about here today, sharing.

So go forth and explore what else the sex blogging community has to offer by searching for the #SoSS tag on twitter where others have Shared our Shit on Saturdays.

Thanks for reading.

Just checking in to say hi.

Hi everyone just thought I’d stop by to say hi and let you know what I’m working on. While trying to get some more products to review I am going to do some of a few things I’ve tried recently. One is an Australian made personal lubricant. The other is a menstrual cup you have probably heard of called the Diva Cup. I’ve also been playing around with writing erotic fiction for my partner mainly but I’m considering sharing it here. Any tips would be greatly appreciated so feel free to contact me or comment if that is possible (not sure if I need a plug in or not.) As I have said before this blog is new and I’m still learning. Once I figure out how to properly categorize posts I think I will be sharing a whole lot more on here so please, stay tuned. This is the start of what I hope could become something great. Enjoy your day folks and I’ll be back soon.

PS. All photos are mine, taken and edited by me up until now. Photos from other sources will be cited if they are used in future.

RisqueViews Satisfyer Pro 2 Review

My first reaction when I saw the Satisfyer Pro 2 was, “what on earth do you do with that!?” It looks like some type of space age gizmo which you could say it kind of is. It’s unlike any other toy I have ever owned or even seen.

It hasn’t got a dildo or any part because it’s not intended for internal use. It doesn’t even have rabbit ear type tickler parts because the whole way the machine works is completely different to most sex toys.
I’ve heard the term non-contact vibrator used in another review of the Satisfyer Pro 2, which is partly true because the part it’s stimulating doesn’t get touched. It has removable, replaceable rubber ring type “nibs,” that are the part that makes contact with your skin. You sit the ring around the clitoris, that’s where the magic happens.
The way the machine works is with a suction function, this is one of the things that make it so unique.

While there is a suction part to the way it works the Satisfyer also vibrates and pulsates, that’s the best way I can explain it.

There’s 11 different modes which adjust the intensity and levels of pulsating vibrations and suction which occur all at once. The different settings range in intensity from a very light humming and slight suction to full blown buzzing and suckling modes. The rhythm of the pulsing also changes with the different level settings.

This toy is state of the art and a new innovation in sex toy manufacturing. There’s only one other machine on the market that I’ve hear is similar but I haven’t yet tried myself so I can’t comment.

Honestly, I found it a bit hard to get used to, as I’ve said it’s a unique toy. Once I figured out how to use it properly, I understood how it earned the name Satisfyer. I’ve heard some people find offensive. I think the name perfectly suits the machine.

After spending some time getting acquainted with my new toy I was left going “oh my gawd!” Repeatedly, and my body continued to twitch for a few moments. I felt extremely satisfied.

I suggest doing as I did and experimenting in a private space as it can be quite noisy, play around with settings, trying out different modes. Move it around slightly feeling how different positions may feel and use different levels of pressure pushing down softly and just holding it in place. This should give you a fairly good idea of what works for you.

When I first tried it I was using it with the handle facing towards me, I then read that it can fit nicely between your legs, which is apparently how it’S meant to be positioned. It’s worth trying out different ways as the feeling varies slightly between positions. The sensation varies even more when repostioning or moving the handle around and with different levels of pressure, try them all and you’ll find what works for you.
To begin with especially, experimenting with the Satisfyer Pro 2 was really important to get a feel for it and be able to use the toy to its fullest potential. You might like to try it out with your partner although be warned straight sex makes positioning the toy rather difficult so you might like to try it with other positions or toys for internal stimulation if you find that it’s necessary. I found on some occasions more stimulation was preferable but the Satisfyer alone did the job when I was relaxed and had some alone time to play around with it.

One of the great things about the Satisfyer Pro 2 is that it’s rechargeable so you won’t have to keep on buying batteries. It’s recommended you keep it charged up and clean using a toy cleaner such as “Wicked Cleene,” which you can find a short review for here. It’s really important to keep your toys clean. Remove the nib and clean it thoroughly not using any harsh cleaners, you can use a cotton bud to get in there and clean out the flange part gently.

All in all I recommend trying out the Satisfyer Pro 2, especially if like me you enjoy clitoral stimulation more than internal. That is one of the reasons I began and continue to use sex toys as I find achieving an orgasm through sex to be pretty close to impossible. Thanks to toys like the Satisfyer Pro 2 I can experience climax whenever I like, allowing me to enjoy sex without stressing about coming to climax because I know I can at any time I like. With a bit of time playing around the Satisfyer Pro 2, I definitely felt satisfied.

Update February 2018: I still love the Satisfyer Pro 2, it remains one of my favorite toys overall. I was hoping to review the new models but there’s been a bit of a hold up with getting it. I just wanted to add that it’s still going strong after some fairly aggressive use. It’s definitely one of my go to toys. I highly recommend the Satisfyer Pro 2.

Preparing for Launch

I am preparing to take off and make this site live. It’s only me currently running things around here so please bear with me as I get used to the set up and find my way. I have so many topics I’d love to share about I’m going to have to find a way to categorize posts as I go but for now I am focusing on adult topics. Ones you may call taboo or risque, hence the name. My first post is a review of a new sex toy on the market the Satisfyer Pro 2 and it should be live by tomorrow, I just want to edit it before I publish it. It’s almost ready to go. So to the follower I already have, thank-you. You can find me on facebook as I started an account there, we will see how that goes. But for now buckle up and enjoy the ride.

First blog post

Hi my name is Zara, I’m a 36 year old Australian woman with a passion for writing. I have a particular interest in adult topics and products that I can’t necessarily talk to my friends about so I decided to start this blog so I can connect with like minded people who have an interest in the same things that I do.

I intend on sharing reviews on sex toys and other adult products and services as well as writing about topics that are relevant to adults, such as sexual health, personal improvement and much more. The site is up and running now so there is some posts that you can read already.

If you have come to have a look at my blog, thankyou so much, I really appreciate you spending your time here. Please be sure to follow to see what I come up with next.
